The re-signification of a fundamental space for the development of São Paulo

From the metalworking industry to the creative industry

History

Formerly occupied by Metalúrgica Atlas, also known as "Fábrica das Fábricas", the shed where ARCA is today was built in the 1960s and played a fundamental role in the urban industrial development of São Paulo.

As of October 2018 it gained a new name and a new vocation, starting to host some of the most relevant events in Brazil in various segments: from showbiz to corporate, including awards, conferences and events for the whole family.

Concept

A tribute to the past with an eye to the future. A space to promote encounters and provide innovative and unforgettable experiences. A place full of personality, where imagination, diversity and enchantment are always present.

Mission

Our mission is to attract and host all manner of creative industry, to be the home of extraordinary events, a catalyst for positive transformation for the city and society.

Amplitude

ARCA has almost 9,000m2 of internal area and 16m of ceiling height - plenty of space to host up to 6,400 people with all the comfort and safety.

Technical and creative resources

ARCA has a unique differential: its central nave is equipped with a grid of trusses with high load capacity*, which can support a total of up to 30 tons, distributed by the lifting points. This makes ARCA one of the spaces with the highest hanging load capacity among all its competitors in the market.

In addition to this resource, there are also vertical metal panels that have been kept from the original industrial configuration of the shed and can be used as creative resources for visual communication, scenography and lighting.

*Lifting points charged separately on a pay-per-use basis

Mezzanine

An original shed structure that has been restored and transformed into a multi-purpose room, serving as a dressing room, production room, and more!

Increasingly Sustainable

By changing the lighting system in our shed, we were able to reduce by 75% our energy consumption in ARCA's day-to-day activities and during the assembly and disassembly periods of the events.

Beyond the shed

Boulevard

Ricardo Cardim is the name behind the landscaping of ARCA's boulevard. The project was developed by Cardim Paisagismo together with SPOL Architects for the SPARK complex, which includes STATE and ARCA. The composition uses exclusively native species of the Atlantic Forest biome - seeking appropriate density and preservation of the visual impact of buildings - and reproduces a typical palm grove of the Serra do Mar, with new native ornamental species recently discovered and developed in the nursery of the Water Legacy Votorantim Reserve. A show of shades of green, flowers, and fruits.

Our boulevard is also available for rent as an outdoor area for your event at ARCA; a cozy, modern, and versatile open-air environment.

Service Area

Open-air space that can be destined to the positioning of equipment, such as power generators, and support units, such as ambulances, medical stations, and others.

ARCA is located in the Spark complex, in Vila Leopoldina, 700m from Villa-Lobos Park and from Villa-Lobos Station of CPTM.

Close to the rivers Pinheiros and Tietê and to the access to the main highways that lead to the interior of the state (Castelo Branco, Anhanguera and Bandeirantes), it also has the strategic proximity of the Helicidade heliport , as well as a good provision of bicycle paths around it.
